Yep, that's a lot of packages. I think my boss thinks I'm insane.
So I open them up and thrilled to see I finally got my latest KB Shimmer "Band Geek" and China Glaze "I herd that"
But I most excited about the OPI Disney Oz Great and Powerful collection. I thought well, everyone has done a swatch review already so we know how bubbly the colors are. But I wanted to take it back a notch and do a Theme for Tuesday and do the Wizard of Oz.
There are so many ways we can do the characters and I still wanted to use at least one of my new purchases, specifically from the Oz collection. So with that in mind, I decided on the following characters: Dorothy (of course), the Wicked Witch of the West, Tin Man, and Glinda the good witch. I threw in a Yellow Brick road as well.
For Glinda I used the color "I Theodora You" and to add that sparkle - fan brushed on some loose glitter I have laying around. However, you can not leave out the iconic ruby red slippers. As I love China Glaze's Ruby Pumps, I dedicated a whole nail to it.
But who can forget about the best character the Witch of the West who I hope to see in Wicked soon enough.
So there you have it, the Wizard of Oz! Here are all the colors I used (which was alot!):
Hope I did the movie justice. I had other ways to represent Dorothy, like striping or Marbling the blue and white. But I really liked the gingham. Anyway, I can't wait to try the other colors. I also got the new Spring 2013 Pueen Nail Plates so stay tuned. Because Easter is around the corner and I am in mind to do bunnies and pastel eggs.
